I-DAIR Board selects new CEO

During the Second I-DAIR Board Meeting held on February 27th and 28th, a new CEO was selected.

On February 27th and 28th, 2023, the I-DAIR Board met for the second time in Geneva and online. The highlight of the meeting was the appointment of I-DAIR’s new CEO. The name will be revealed shortly, after the finalization of the internal processes. I-DAIR looks very much forward to his joining and leading the team! 

The Board was updated on the latest developments within I-DAIR, including the organisation's move to become an independent legal entity in Switzerland. Dr Mehdi Snene’s presentation of I-DAIR’s progress in 2022 was well received. The Board congratulated him for his leadership as the interim CEO over the past year and the whole team for the impressive work accomplished. 

The Board further welcomed three new members:

Professor Alain Labrique

Prof. Alain Labrique, Director of the Department of Digital Health & Innovation, succeeds Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist, as WHO representative.

Lesley-Anne Long

Lesley-Anne Long, CEO and President of the Global Business Coalition, will act as the representative of the private sector players in global health;

Mr. Marc Hofstetter

Marc Hofstetter, former Deputy Executive Director and COO of the Humanitarian Dialogue and former Deputy Executive Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of GAVI.

Stéphane Dupré

Stéphane is the Head of Communication at HealthAI, coordinating closely with the team to develop the organization’s communication strategy and tactics and position HealthAI as a trusted partner and expert in AI and health.

Combining private and public sector experience, Stéphane previously led the communication, design & event team at the Swiss Data Science Center, part of EPFL and ETH Zürich, enabling data-driven science and innovation for societal impact.

Stéphane holds an executive master's in corporate and marketing communication from IE School of Science and Technology in Madrid, Spain.
